School Overview
At Little Playhouse, we strive to give every child the best profound head start in the area of formal education in our play school. Our role is focused on developing a mindset characterized by curiosity and the quest for knowledge, hence reducing the chances of any child dropping out of school at the higher educational level. We seek to equip every child with the educational resilience to pursue different career paths to any level they desire. We provide full-day and half-day infant daycare, toddlers play school & preschool, and after-school transit programs. Feel free to contact us to know more!
At an early age, we start teaching your children (at the level they can comprehend) the basic social and emotional reactions. We encourage the children to be confident, interactive and patient with their friends. Our curriculum includes outdoor activities and engaging indoor activities which will require the children to interact with each other and in some instance work as a team towards achieving common goals during play and games. We also introduce the children to domestic animals and nature through pictures and children videos.
An early introduction to the use of speech and phonics will give your children a solid foundation to achieve better performance in the higher educational institutions. We guide the children on how to identify and properly pronounce letter, numbers and common objects found in and outside the home. At the later stages in our curriculum, every child in Little Playhouse will be introduced engaging activities such as singing, reading, etc. we use the standard Montessori educational curriculum to educate our children at Little Playhouse.
Our teachers and child-minders are trained to help the young children develop their motor skills such as crawling, walking, and picking and dropping, pulling, clapping, etc. we have the right equipment that will aid this aspect of your children’s development. And we also know what to do in situations where a child needs support to learn some of the basic motor skills because every child has a unique learning process.
We currently live in a world that is evolving at a rapid rate regarding technology and infrastructure. The top organizations are constantly in search of brilliant and analytical minds to help them solve the problems that limit technological advancement. This is why an early introduction to the concept of logical thinking and math is crucial to the development of a child into an adult who has fully developed mental and analytical capacities which become leverage to solving issues and adding value to their communities. We are happy to have the responsibility of pointing young children in this direction, and we have the educational skills and equipment to encourage the development of a brilliant and analytical mind.
