Choosing the Right Program for Your Child's Age

Selecting the right educational program for your child is one of the most important decisions you'll make as a parent. At Little Playhouse, we offer programs designed specifically for each developmental stage. Here's a guide to help you understand which program is best suited for your child.

Infant Care (3-12 months)

Our infant care program provides a nurturing environment with a 1:3 teacher-to-child ratio. At this stage, babies need consistent, loving care that supports their sensory development, early communication, and physical milestones like sitting, crawling, and eventually walking. What we focus on: • Secure attachment with consistent caregivers • Sensory exploration and stimulation • Early language development through songs and conversation • Safe physical development activities

Playgroup (2 years)

Two-year-olds are curious explorers with rapidly developing language skills. Our playgroup program, with a 1:5 ratio, focuses on fostering independence, social interaction, and early learning concepts through structured play. What we focus on: • Language explosion and communication skills • Early social skills and parallel play • Introduction to routines and transitions • Creative expression through art and music

Kindergarten 1 (3 years)

At three, children are ready for more structured learning experiences. Our KG1 program introduces early literacy and numeracy concepts through play-based activities, with a 1:8 teacher ratio. What we focus on: • Pre-reading skills and phonemic awareness • Basic numeracy concepts • Extended attention span activities • Cooperative play and sharing

Kindergarten 2 (4 years)

Four-year-olds are enthusiastic learners ready for more complex challenges. Our KG2 program builds on foundational skills with more structured academic readiness activities. What we focus on: • Reading readiness and early writing • Mathematical concepts and problem-solving • Scientific exploration and inquiry • Self-regulation and focus

Junior & Senior Reception (5-6 years)

These programs prepare children for primary school with a comprehensive curriculum that balances academic preparation with continued social-emotional development. What we focus on: • Advanced literacy and numeracy • Critical thinking and reasoning • Independence and responsibility • Smooth transition to primary school

Schedule Options

We offer both full-day and half-day options to accommodate different family needs. Full-day programs run from morning to afternoon, while half-day sessions are available for those who prefer a gentler introduction to structured learning.
